Healing Reincarnation

Part 2: Reincarnation, Karma and One Extraordinary Realisation

Val Hogarth ~ 87 years

I would like to ask you to stay with me again, as I tell you about some things that happened to me some years ago. I would really like to tell the world about it, for it might cause people to stop and think about events that have happened to them, both good and glorious or bad and sad, and that have caused them to question… WHY ME?

Sorry, but we have to go through some more talk about operations before we get to the nitty gritty. This time it’s about the bother I had having my babies.

Apart from the usual whooping cough, mumps and measles of childhood in those days (before Immunization) and except for the SVT (heart palpitations) from which I had suffered since puberty, I had been a healthy girl before I married in 1952 and started to have a family.

1953: My first pregnancy miscarried at twelve weeks. Not unusual they said.

1954: My second pregnancy was quite traumatic. At five months I was overcome by extreme pain in my womb and was rushed to a nearby private hospital for an emergency operation that discovered a fallopian tube had strangled an ovary and become gangrenous. It was expected that I would lose my baby and possibly that I could die as well. Fortunately, it was not the tube feeding the baby that was affected. We both survived, thanks to the skill of the surgeon C.C.D, who was the chief surgeon at the Alfred Hospital at that time. He was a personal friend, who had a private practice. The wound was sown together with wire sutures. A dry dressing on top was held in place by cello tape. I was allergic to the tape, which caused blisters to develop and then turned into a rash, that nearly drove me mad as the scar widened and the baby grew. Four months later the baby was born: a beautiful little daughter, weighing 7lb 8 ounces. (You can work out the kilograms).

1955: My next child: another beautiful little daughter was born fourteen months later, weighing 8lb 4 ounces. This time doctors didn’t get all the afterbirth away, so a month later, in danger of dying of septicaemia, I was hospitalised to have a curette. It was such a mess in there that, accidentally, the surgeon (same one, same hospital) put the curette through the wall into my bladder. OOPS! Haemorrhage! Packed with dressings and copious doses of Streptomycin, I survived… again.

1957: Two years later, weighing 9lb 9 ounces, my bonny son was born at the Royal Women’s Hospital. The birth, without aesthetic and surrounded by students, was so traumatic for me, that for years I couldn’t think or speak of it without weeping.

Two months after his birth, like the cat, I got fixed and the scar had a bit of a tidy up. No more babies for me. The doctor had said it would be far too risky.

Then in 1970 I cooked up an ovarian cyst as big as an orange. Cancer was a concern, so a total hysterectomy was performed. Another tidy up. No more womb either. If not for the wonders of modern medicine, I could have died as a result of any of those three situations.

So now we fast-forward a couple of decades to about 1992. I was in the early days of my spiritual awakening process, before I got mixed up in that new age stuff.

I was resting in a chair … sort of meditating, (though I didn’t know how to and never did ‘get it’ till I found Serge), when suddenly there was a switch of consciousness!

It was as if I were an actor in a film. I was a young man… a Saracen warrior… on a horse galloping down a dusty road. This was not a dream. I was actually in his body, feeling and hearing the horse beneath me; feeling and smelling the dust and wind on his face; and watching him at the same time. I was wearing full regalia: turban, cloak and all. There was no doubt about the purpose for which the gear was intended, because I was holding a scimitar in my right hand and I could feel the heft of it. Ahead, on the right, a young woman was standing by the road waiting for me to pass. It was obvious that she was pregnant. As I swept past, without slowing and without emotion, I swung the scimitar up to slit her belly open and without looking back, continued galloping on.

I came to myself in shock and horror and cried out, “Please God, tell me I didn’t do that”!

This unsettled me for days.

Then one morning, when I was getting out of the shower, I glanced at myself in the mirror and my eyes went to the scar I bear, from my pubis to my belly button… that ugly scar left by the operations I’d had on my womb. I stood transfixed, staring at that scar as it dawned on me… it was actually KARMA that was the CAUSE of all the difficulties, pain and close calls I had experienced having my babies!!

What on earth had caused me to do such an unforgivable thing? What had I believed that would sanction such heartless cruelty? I didn’t know her. She seemed to be just a stranger in the wrong place at the wrong time. What had she done to me that would condone such a brutal act of cold-blooded murder?

The fact that I was a Saracen warrior would place the scene as sometime around the time of the crusades: hundreds of years ago… Christians invading Arab land… told by the Pope that all their sins would be forgiven if they went off to fight for Jerusalem… permission to rape, slaughter and pillage on the way and all done in the name of religion! Ingrained hatred on both sides, creating separation. Sound familiar? Could that little mother have been a Christian? Or of another race, tribe, colour or creed? She must simply have been ‘different’ to me in some way or didn’t believe what I believed at that time.

That this happened to me in such a way is proof to me that, regardless of what we may think or believe… regardless of whether we are religious or not, regardless of whether we are a sceptic or just don’t care… NOBODY GETS AWAY WITH ANYTHING… Good or Bad… eventually it all returns to you. That heartless cruel action of mine had taken a very long time to catch up with me. But catch up it did. Three fold.

There will be those of you who will not want to believe me. Can’t say I blame you for I didn’t want to believe it myself. You can make of it what you will. But the fact is that it, that switch of consciousness really happened to me. All of it is true. If it were not… imagine the karma I would be bringing upon myself… especially having it published in this venue where energetic truth is absolute.

So now let’s fast forward again to 2010 and my discovery of the Ancient Wisdom Teachings as presented by Serge Benhayon, where I have learned that KARMA IS THE UNIVERSAL LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT and WE ARE ALL SUBJECT TO IT. There is also another aspect of Karma regarding INTENT that is equally important for us to consider and understand.

The Ancient Wisdom Teachings explain that REINCARNATION is to give us the opportunity of redress by way of evolution to return to our own Loving Soul Essence. That divine essence resides in the inner hearts of all human beings. It is the responsibility of each and every one of us to find our own way back via the Path of Return and thus eventually, no longer be subject to the Wheel of Karma. An act, such as I described, would no longer be possible.

We have all had hundreds, even thousands of incarnations, lived within light or darkness or a mixture of both.

What is worth pondering, as we make decisions about how we live out this incarnation is to contemplate …WHY ME?

I wish to thank Serge Benhayon for giving me, in my old age, this insightful understanding…. and a Way of Living that is full of Love, Wisdom, Wonder and Joy.

Val your story tells us to feel deeply into our own lives and come to an honesty about why certain things may have happened, not everything necessarily may be karma, sometimes we are in situations as a blessing and opportunity to grow, even difficult situations, but overall your story is offering a moment to consider how much we are truly responsible for our own lives – what we express comes back as either the loving imprints we have already made, or those unloving imprints that need to be sorted out to become love.

Such an incredable story, I can read it again adn again and every time there is a new nugget of gold for me to take. Thank you for sharing Val.

We all have so much to clear. Life is incredible in that it makes us accountable for everything. Every little thing is registered, nothing escapes the All because everything happens within the all. There’s no sneaking outside of the All to have a quick burst of anger or a little bit of jealousy on the side. It all happens within the body of God and the body of God has laws that address every single drop of disharmony. There is nothing random what so ever about life, it is sewn up and bound by God’s majestic laws.

This sharing is such a great invitation to expand our relationships with those “why me?” moments. The awareness of reincarnation and karma brings an understanding of how there is so much more to the dynamics in life we face than meets the eye.

Beautifully shared, the energetic re balance allowing us to continually evolve and deepen in the truth of who we are.

  • Reply Gabriele Conrad November 9, 2018 at 9:53 am

To be given the gift of such clarity and depth of knowing is a true blessing and explains what we might otherwise dismiss as chance or accident; the Law of Love, which is reincarnation, karma and akasha, knows there is no such thing and that we get plenty of opportunities to re-imprint our former unloving ways life after life after life.

A stunning experience you have had and shared here Val, truly magical.

  • Reply Natalie Hawthorne November 8, 2018 at 6:21 am

Valerie again another remarkable sharing and I just love how honouring you were when you felt and connected to what you had lived. From my understanding of reading this is that you knew without a shadow of a doubt and you were ready, open and willing to take responsibility for the choices you had made. Such deep healing and very very inspiring. Thank you.

Important question to consider – why me? A question that is worth stopping and revisiting every now and again – why am I in this incarnation this time, why all the illness and disease, why the abusive relationships – what is the lessons in all of this, what is my part to play and where can these learnings lead to? Our perception on life is crucial because it is the foundation for our choices, how we hold ourselves and how we live our lives.

  • Reply Matilda Bathurst October 29, 2018 at 3:56 pm

‘…REINCARNATION is to give us the opportunity of redress by way of evolution to return to our own Loving Soul Essence…’ When I understand this I am much more open to embracing my responsibility in this moment and the next and the next.

  • Reply Viktoria October 8, 2018 at 3:14 pm

These realisations are wonderful, they give us a greater understanding of our lives, answer questions and bring clarity. Nobody can “tell us” about us that makes more sense and brings greater clarity than the realisations we can come to through honestly looking at ourselves.

    • Reply Golnaz Shariatzadeh December 8, 2018 at 12:21 am

We are constantly offered moments to stop and reflect. Looking at ourselves and what life presents with honesty and an open curiosity is a great way to keep deepening our relationship with every aspect of life.

  • Reply Matilda Bathurst October 8, 2018 at 3:10 pm

This is one of the clearest and simplest teachings on reincarnation and karma that I have read. And one that wakes me up to be really open to my past lives and how things have unfolded this life. Then of course there is the real purpose and responsibility of living today with awareness of the impact we have on everyone and lives to come.

  • Reply Viktoria October 4, 2018 at 3:37 pm

There are many magical moments in the works of Serge Benhayon, he explains things which we deem mystical in such a simple way that one is left to wonder how did we manage to make it soooo complicated. Karma is one of those things – does it not make sense that our Karama is there so that we can learn, lovingly so – we’re not to be punished or to be judged and then turned into an animal because we’ve been a horrible human being, but things in life happen so that we can experience the consequences of them and therefore either learn from it and never do it again.

  • Reply Golnaz Shariatzadeh September 27, 2018 at 11:23 pm

We need to honour these moments when we can sense something with every cell in our body, although the logic with which we have grown up may question it. Because nothing is ever random. There is always a reason for the insights. During a healing I once had a vision of a bitter old grumpy man refusing to open up to people, as I was just bemused and wondering why I was getting such an image, it dawned on me: that was a picture of a life I had once lived! So many things started to fall into place simply from that one realisation.

  • Reply Golnaz Shariatzadeh September 26, 2018 at 10:35 pm

Humanity would be so much richer and wiser if more of us followed Val’s example and shared about our experiences and insights rather than keeping them to ourselves, or worse, dismissing them as just some figment of imagination.

  • Reply Andrew Mooney September 19, 2018 at 8:15 pm

When we have an experience like this that is felt so clearly in the body nobody can say it it is not true. The fact that you had this experience and realisation Val is further evidence of the existence of karma and reincarnation and that everything we choose either harms or heals and we have to redress and re-balance any of the harms. It makes perfect sense to me to have this universal form of responsibility.

  • Reply Sally Green September 13, 2018 at 10:10 pm

I thoroughly enjoyed the insight Val has about her life, the events that have unfolded and the connection she has to knowing life is so much more than this one life. Her search for truth discovered, felt and known as soon as she met Serge Benhayon, a connection that would be older than just this life.

‘NOBODY GETS AWAY WITH ANYTHING… Good or Bad… eventually it all returns to you.’ True Val and again I very much enjoyed reading your blog, the way you write is simple and accesible. At the same time it offers the reader a powerful message we cannot deny

    • Reply Gabriele Conrad November 9, 2018 at 9:56 am

‘What comes around goes around’ is another way of saying that we are the drivers of our life, life after life after life. And some things take longer to come around, but around they will always come.

  • Reply hm August 26, 2018 at 5:26 am

What I find incredible is how many signs and symbols we are offered to connect us back to our past lives. We all will experience something that can help us remember where we have been and the experiences we have had – it is just a case of us wanting to listen read and respond to this.

    • Reply Matilda Bathurst October 8, 2018 at 3:13 pm

Yes I agree. It is not about whether we had past lives or not, it is about how open we are to what we experienced and how open we are to bring that learning into our lives today.

  • Reply Golnaz Shariazadeh August 19, 2018 at 10:38 pm

I bet so many more people have stories that they have been holding back because of the fear of being ridiculed, and even worse some of us are too much in the habit of dismissing any such awareness because denial has become our go-to way of dealing with things after being repeatedly shut down for expressing an unwelcome truth.
I love conversations such as initiated by this blog that bring back the normality of talking about such things as karma and reincarnation.

  • Reply Monica August 7, 2018 at 5:43 am

This is such a clear sharing of past lives and how everything comes around eventually no matter what. I had an experience a few years back with someone in my life where they were demanding of me that I promise never to do something as it would impact the group, and this came with a very strong demanding and almost bully energy … I was clear I couldn’t promise that and I also has a flash of recognition and horror as I felt how it was to be put under pressure to fulfill a groups needs and suddenly recognised that the person speaking to me … and I knew I’d done it to them, and the ferocity I could feel from them was from a time way back where I was the one doing the coercing and demanding they do what was needed for the group only. And so it came back to be felt and to see and feel how that is and sharing this and acknowledging this with them later allowed both of us to let go of something that had been there for a long time.

  • Reply Samantha August 7, 2018 at 5:36 am

Can you imagine if we grew up with the wisdom you have shared Val? We would be such a far wiser society.

In this world of blame and lack of self responsibility Karma will is always there reminding us that Love is ultimately our teacher.

  • Reply Joseph Barker July 25, 2018 at 4:58 pm

Karma is often portrayed as vicious like the sword in this story. But the truth is it’s always pulling me and you lovingly back to where the truth is.

    • Reply Golnaz Shariatzadeh January 31, 2019 at 6:13 pm

This understanding that Karma is neither vicious nor punishing, but it is loving and supportive of us on our return to the splendour of our true essence, has an impact on every aspect of life. It will determine whether we fight or cower in the face of what life presents, or if we do our best, without expecting perfection, to lovingly embrace what is being exposed and expand the love, wisdom and responsibility we live with.

  • Reply Chan Ly July 24, 2018 at 5:49 am

When I was a child, I remember asking this question a lot, ‘WHY ME?’ and the answer that kept coming back to me was, karma. When I accepted this, I was much more able to deal with what was happening around me.

  • Reply Alexis Stewart July 17, 2018 at 4:29 am

Isn’t Karma the most miraculous thing? I find it incredibly comforting to know that there is a higher order that is constantly looking to balance life. That we can lose sight of the bigger picture here on Earth but that God is holding the bigger picture always, in the palm of his loving hand.

  • Reply Alexis Stewart July 17, 2018 at 4:24 am

Val this is such an insightful and powerful sharing that really broadens our understanding of how life works. Most of us look at life through a very narrow viewfinder but if we were to better understand the mechanics of life, then it would support us to be able to live life in a way that was more harmonious, rather than our current way, which is to thrash around in chaotic confusion. That said, there is definitely an element of that chaotic confusion being self-imposed because deep down we do actually all know all the laws of The Universe, it’s simply that at this point in time, we’re choosing to play dumb.

  • Reply Chan Ly July 12, 2018 at 7:08 am

Wow brilliant blog Val, the style you write in is stunning, relatable and very honest. I too have had many moments where I’ve asked myself ‘why me?’ and nothing seemed to make sense until I related it back to karma. From this, I am then able to feel more settled in my body and surrender to the clearing that was on offer.

    • Reply Chan Ly July 12, 2018 at 7:15 am

Hear, hear Elizabeth, and the funny thing is a majority of our society is in denial of karma and reincarnation and outright claim it does not exist. This highlights to me how much we are avoiding taking responsibility for our past and present choices if we continue to dismiss this basic energetic truth and choose to live in an irresponsible and loveless way.

    • Reply Chan Ly July 24, 2018 at 5:52 am

We often used the word ‘karma’ in a way that is associated with punishment but when we truly understand what karma means, it is in fact deeply loving because we are blessed with opportunities to correct our loveless ways and reimprint our steps with love and responsibility.

  • Reply HM April 1, 2018 at 11:27 pm

When we are open to finding out about our past, we do. This is an amazing story Val and everything there after simply makes sense. It shows that there is more to life than chance or coincidence – and that we are in fact the sum of all our choices from this life of a past one.

  • Reply Leigh Matson March 28, 2018 at 1:14 am

I have also experienced those shifts in consciousness. Some where before knowing of Universal Medicine as well. Everything we leave behind comes back around to greet us eventually, this is true for our current life so why not the next?

I love your sharing Val ! As there is no ounce of victimhood in what you are presenting the reader. In todays world you often get called cold-hearted when you are not suffering vicariously with somebody. There is always a reason and a deeper healing in whatever happens. Most of humanity don´t want to hear this fact, as it would destroy their chosen, secure way of life. Great you are representing this in all of your wisdom.

  • Reply Meg March 21, 2018 at 12:36 am

Wow fascinating blog Val, understanding that there’s more to life than just this moment and that what we do in this moment as ongoing repercussions really changes the way you see the world, how can we say “poor me” or feel sorry for ourselves once we truly understand this?

  • Reply Heather Pope March 18, 2018 at 8:43 am

The fact that we reincarnate leaves much to be pondered. If I have reincarnated many times, where have I been, what have I been doing? Have I contributed to the world, or left it to dismantle? More importantly where am I going, and what am I now living to imprint this life with love and truth? Every day we live is a contribution to the earth and its people, or a detraction from it, and so each day is an opportunity to live a life preparing for the next.

    • Reply Meg March 24, 2018 at 4:34 am

Wow I love your questions here Heather – and I agree – reincarnation poses the question of what really are we contributing to the world, and are our lives made just for us and our enjoyment or is there something grander going on and could there be a bigger purpose to every life we have?

    • Reply Stefanie Henn March 25, 2018 at 5:04 am

…and to let go of any attachment to see any changes in this lifetime by the absolute knowing that everything I do and choose to be now, will and does have an effect for the all already. Seeing any result would just be playing small…

    • Reply Chan Ly July 12, 2018 at 7:21 am

Great questions Heather and when we understand and accept the science of karma and reincarnation it calls us to be more responsible for every choice we make. When we denying this truth, is an excuse to be irresponsible and in a way avoid our path of evolution.

  • Reply Monica March 17, 2018 at 7:18 am

Val, you are just exquisite, and it’s beautiful to hear and know you from what you share here. You offer such an open understanding of how you’ve been and where you’ve been and you remind all of us that everything comes back to us good or bad, and it’s there for us to understand that everything is about harmony and we too are part of that harmony and no matter where or when we bring balance back to where we’ve left any unbalance, not as a punishment but as a learning that we do not get away with anything and that is love, the love we are all held in.

  • Reply Mary March 15, 2018 at 3:49 pm

Imagine if we were taught from young about reincarnation the cause and effects that karma has on everyone until our lives are re- balanced. We would all be living a much more responsible life I’m sure. I know that centuries ago there were schools that taught a true way of living in harmlessness with each other. Universal Medicine to me is based on the same ancient principals and that those who are drawn to live in this way do so.

  • Reply Shushila Boswell March 11, 2018 at 8:16 am

I loved reading this as I’ve grown up around the notion of reincarnation & karma and yet I didn’t live with this responsibility. It was presented with many beliefs, cultural and scare monger impositions. There was no supportive teachings of cause and effects or consequences if I lived in this irresponsible way.
Until Serge Benhayon came into my life and slowly I but also my body came to realise the responsibility part. Could I say I have perfected it, No would be the answer and as my awareness develops, I refine this responsibility more and more.

I love getting to know the real truth behind reincarnation and Karma.

    • Reply Alexis Stewart February 9, 2019 at 1:48 pm

The crazy thing is we have all lived hundreds of lives before but we plunder around like drunk men in the dark, professing to not know anything about life after death or even life. My goodness me we’re absolute masters at pretending that we don’t know what’s going on. What’s really going on. But we all do.

  • Reply Joseph Barker March 4, 2018 at 4:58 am

If we truly understand and appreciate the truth of how Karma works, there is no good, no bad, no wrong as you so beautifully point out Val – just a natural consequence, not just from this life but all of time. So stepping forward the only true way we can go is massive appreciation for the way Love works and a knowing that everything is fair in this world.

  • Reply Jenny James March 2, 2018 at 2:55 pm

Thank you Val. There is divine order in the Universe and none of us escape that. I am learning this life time how to be love, and power in every which way, with no perfection, and at times I can feel the weight of past lives either lift off or still effect me, and the true power of other lives lives support me.

  • Reply Liane Mandalis March 1, 2018 at 3:52 am

Val, this sharing of yours always brings me to tears. Not for the trauma involved but for the deep beauty of knowing that we belong to a great cycle of life and are held in so much love that any thought, action, word or deed that is uttered or enacted that does not match the great love we each in essence are, will return to us eventually so this discordance can be brought into accordance with such love. It is the absolute knowing that there is divine order at play and we are not in any way left to ‘go it alone’ because we have all the support in the universe to heal our hurts.

  • Reply Andrew Mooney March 1, 2018 at 1:57 am

This description of karma makes complete sense to me and it puts a very different perspective on why things happen in our lives. I wonder how many other realisations we would have if when something unpleasant happens to us, we stopped as Val did here in this story to feel and ponder what it means and what it teaches us? We all have an awareness to read life in this way beyond our current imaginations and it is only a few breaths away and a willingness to let go of the notion that life is just physical and only consists of one life.

  • Reply Ingrid Ward February 28, 2018 at 2:12 pm

I have experienced‘past life moments like the one you write about Val, many times in my life, and I can remember them happening from quite an early age. I also felt very clearly that I was in this life to clear as much karma as possible, and with the challenging way my life unfolded I was sure that most of that karma was not very nice. But on meeting Serge Benhayon at 55 everything that I had experienced began to make sense, especially the fact that our karma is our responsibility and that only we can clear it; and that I know that I am committed to doing

I love this blog, because it restores reincarnation to its correct place. Many of us who are open to reincarnation have been fed the idea that it is either a glamorous thing (eg. I was Jesus, Cleopatra etc) or a reason to be stubborn, stuck or hurt (eg. I was a slave, tortured etc. in a past life). This blog shows that reincarnation is a chance to clear disharmony that we have left behind in the past. Not as a punishment but so we learn to live true love and harmony.

  • Reply Sandra Vicary February 6, 2018 at 6:31 pm

Understanding karma in this way offers an amazing opportunity for us all to see the responsibility we have in every choice we make. Whilst not going into the judemgent or self bashing about anything we may do wrong, we equally have to see that there are consequences that will eventually play out at some point in our lives, in our current one and future ones, until we learn the lesson that is there for us to learn.

The wisdom and power of this flashback is huge. What an amazing sharing in how you connected to your past lives and felt the karma that you are now living out. It shows that there is no such thing as one life, as what we do not effecting another – everything comes back around – and with that is also the opportunity to heal and clear karma.

  • Reply Jonathan Stewart February 2, 2018 at 5:07 pm

Appreciating and accepting karma and re-birth as part of the natural cycle of life gives a common sense understanding to the question, ‘Why me?’ and this testimonial from Val makes this understanding very real rather than just an airy-fairy concept.

Many will all learn (again) from this Amazing sharing Val. I hear it often “WHY ME?”.. I heard it today. It’s a choice I often made not realising the opportunity to accept there is more to reclaim in the all-knowing. If I look back on my choices they always resolved into the quality of the choice I was intending. Even the issue I had with God it resolved into disconnection, despair and not knowing which hurt more. Karma explains the Why Me(?) and the natural balancing that goes on with the truth and love for all of us.

    • Reply Alexis Stewart February 9, 2019 at 1:57 pm

Rik when I read the words ‘natural balancing’, I could feel the love inherent in the process. It felt like being gently rocked to sleep in God’s arms.

No matter how many difficult births you still faced them until the moment when the change of consciousness was ready to be revealed. So much love in it all.

“At the same time receiving a University Level Education on The Ageless Wisdom in a loving environment, covering all the subjects she had been seeking.”
I mentioned in a previous comment on another blog, that I resisted our current form of education. But interestingly there is no resistance to the Universal Medicine courses, events or presentations because my body naturally responds to truth. We all have inbuilt radar for truth, for some of us it is hidden under layers of lies and distortion and we have to uncover and rediscover that truth is our greatest asset. What Serge Benhayon present is the absolute truth. And what is so inspirational is that he has never wavered or held back from expressing it for all to hear and know.

This is a gorgeous expansion of the limited way we tend to so far see life. This current life we are living is a continuum in a cycle of lives where we have the opportunity again and again, life after life, to revisit and rebalance the disharmony we have created, and later on to support others to do the same. A lot of what we face in life will only make sense when we reflect with this understanding and awareness.

  • Reply rosanna bianchini December 26, 2017 at 6:18 pm

In that moment I had a huge sense of space and the flow of the Universe. I could sense how every facet of life is coloured in a similar way to your story, by our alignment and our choices along the way.

The heartless act by the Saracen warrior based on the notion that the pregnant woman “didn’t believe what I believed at that time” shows the fine veil that ‘gives us permission’ to kill another. It holds absolutely no ground or substance, it never has and never will.

This is such a fabulous account of karma and reincarnation. I find when I speak with people about serious disease, abuse etc. that there is so much sympathy that they lose sight that this seemingly innocent person, has already lived many lives. We cannot know what disharmony we all have left behind us. Is this why we don’t recall our past lives and so many deny the fact that we even reincarnate – so we don’t have to face our responsibilities?

    • Reply Golnaz Shariatzadeh November 3, 2017 at 1:12 am

In the beginning when I considered that situations and circumstances we face in life could be related to past lives and karma, I only saw it as punishment and retribution at play and I was uncomfortable with that. But more and more as I have surrendered to the existence of such cycles in life, I can see the immense opportunity for healing, learning, deepening and returning to the glory that is our true expression.
Reincarnation and karma are actually a loving gift and a blessing.

None of us want to believe we could ever have done bad things, murder and rape are but two of the more extreme. What I am realising is that by standing by and not speaking out when we see or hear of things that are wrong we then feed the energy that makes those things happen. We give them space to keep going. I wish I could have known this at the beginning of my life – perhaps I would have chosen a different path, but as you have shared, it is NEVER too late as it will all come round again for us – how will we respond this time round?

Just pondering on reincarnation. Not everyone will have such clear images. I haven’t but I have had clear feelings of patterns that I am living now, that I have not yet moved past that are ages old. It’s like I have been literally hanging onto somethings for hundreds of years if not longer. What’s important is the life that we are living. Yes have realisations along the way, but it feels important not to lessen this life for any previous lives. But really its all one and the same anyway.

  • Reply Vicky Geary September 15, 2017 at 7:37 pm

What a powerful story Val. Reincarnation is indeed a blessing, for without it we would not be able to return to live the loving way of our soul.

  • Reply Ingrid Ward September 13, 2017 at 5:03 pm

I so appreciate that through the presentations of Serge Benhayon I have come to understand “that REINCARNATION is to give us the opportunity of redress by way of evolution to return to our own Loving Soul Essence.” This understanding has made so much sense of my life and the feeling that I had in my early teens that I was here in this life to readdress the karma that I had accumulated in past lives. It was such a strong knowing but I had no reference point for it until I met Serge and heard the teachings of the Ageless Wisdom. Only then did I realise the truth of what I had felt.

  • Reply Sandra Williamson September 10, 2017 at 4:51 am

To break the cycle of harm that is so very evident in humanity today Karma is very worth considering. It explains why we feel that some of our experiences and patterns feel old and repetitive.

Yes, it may make us behave a lot more responsibly, or, to put in accountants’ terms we may apply a much smaller discount rate to the future.

  • Reply fiona lotherington September 8, 2017 at 8:54 am

This article really puts sympathy into perspective. If we all had the awareness and were responsible enough to recall our past lives, we would not for one second be able to milk sympathy for the current situation or state we find ourselves in. There would be no cause for asking ‘why me”? Similarly we would have understanding and care for those who are experiencing conditions but know this is all part of a very loving plan to get us to remember and come back to our divine origins.

    • Reply Melinda Knights September 22, 2017 at 10:46 am

I agree Fiona, sympathy is not supportive, to say so is not to advocate being hard or uncaring with others, it’s just that holding another in love is offers much more to both people. Sympathy is not part of who we are in essence, but love is. Sympathy also does not take in the bigger picture, nor the purpose for the event, both of which can lead to greater responsibility if we are willing to read and understand the true reasons why things are happening, and then work with the situation as part of our evolution – the return to our divine origins.

We can feel in our lives that we have issues and pick up habits that just feel age old. Righteousness is big one for me, I actually feel like have a metaphorical mallet in my right hand that slams down on this things that are lies and not truths…something for me to look at concerning past lives.

Yes, it is easy to write off these events as coming from our imagination but if you have an experience of karma and its resolution and, especially if you have many of them, it can become quite natural and normal as there are ways to deal with karma.

Hi Valerie, thanks for writing this, it is great. I used to ask Why me, why did I get sexually abused as a child? And for a long time I couldn’t understand, didn’t want to understand or think about it. It has only been in the last years that I too have learnt about karma and past lives and to be honest, I haven’t had a visual or an experience like yours where I know what I have done to another but what I do know for sure, is my experience this life time guarantees I will never ever to that to another as I know how deeply damaging it can be and I understand the laws of karma and how I must have done something similar in a past life to another for it to come around and teach me the lesson in this lifetime.

  • Reply Victoria Lister July 28, 2017 at 7:47 am

I’ve had a similar experience Valerie, a very, very real recalling of a life previously lived during the American Civil War. I was a dying on the battlefield from loss of blood, the result of a savage wound to my knee. The twist was I wasn’t a young man as I appeared to be – I was a young woman who had cut her hair and bound her breasts to flatten them and, frustrated by the restrictions of the time, had run off to join the fight against slavery, masquerading as a man. I ‘woke’ from this episode with a blazingly sore throat and promptly became ill. It made so much sense to me in terms of my this-life relationship with myself as a woman, and with my relationship with idealism and causes. These incidents, these past-life recollections – if and when they occur – can offer us so much understanding. And even if we don’t recall them, they’re still there for us to resolve and reintegrate, as your ‘Part 1’ piece so beautifully revealed.

    • Reply Lucy Dahill September 27, 2017 at 4:19 am

We are offered many opportunities to understand why we do what we do aren’t we? We have not been taught that this awareness is available to us and is more normal than living in ignorance to it which just keeps us on a merri-go-round feeling like something is missing.

I too have had that ‘dream’ of a past life occurrence which I can only describe as a full-bodied knowing and woke me up to the truth of reincarnation. What is so remarkable about what you share is that it helps us see that Karma is not ‘punishment’ or ‘retribution’ for ill deeds done but more so a great loving law by which we are forever afforded the grace to ‘right the wrongs’ in the sense that we are given the opportunity, countless times over, to correct (bring back into harmony) that which has been lived that is not in line with the great love that we are.

  • Reply Samantha May 30, 2017 at 5:28 pm

What a powerful powerful article, this is what we need to be reading about, not daily news stories that often incite more blame, more irresponsibility and more hatred. We need more truths like this for in our hearts we do know why something has happened to us and this wisdom needs to be told so that we all may learn.

Imagine if the papers where filled with stories that said this is what happened to me and this is why – wow we could actually start to learn from one and other.

What powerful understanding, shared with us so clearly. Inevitably there will be people who say it was a lucid daydream, or some such ‘scientifically validated’ excuse to avoid the discomfort you are exposing. For what you have revealed is the fact that we are not victims in life. Equally you have shown the incredible grace that life offers us to come back from being perpetrator and victim, to being who we truly are. This is the nature of karma, true atonement which is not a form of punishment or self denigration for past ills. Rather it is the at-one-ment of restoring our sonship light, of knowing ourselves in truth, hence never being so owned by a set of beliefs that we can ever hurt another, equal son.

There is something quite captivating about the way in which you write Val. It’s a bit hard to put into words, there is a lightness, a strength, a playfulness and an absolute direct way of telling your truth. It engages you and delivers a strong message. You are a true storyteller. And your story is your truth and that cannot be denied. People can choose not to believe it, but it is there to be read as your truth. I have felt this same quality in this writing. There is a directness that holds you in the truth that has been lived by another offering a lesson in how we can push again the grain, yet our choices always lead us back to the healing that we are all craving to feel the true potential we all can have to live this vitality.

When we really fully embrace reincarnation, it brings a whole new awareness to the nature and course of our current lives and the true cause of what might otherwise seem very random events. The immutable Law of Cause and Effect always and without question shows us very clearly the effect of our choices and when we truly comprehend this, is empowers us to evolve.

Rereading your sharing, Val, I am becoming more aware about the magnitude of incarnations I have lived and which are somewhere in my body and probably in my behaviour until I get concsious about it and transform them to a behaviour which is coming from the depth of my body, from my essence.

Val, your sharing brings back memories of my childhood where I often had a feeling riding on a horse galloping fast and the horse was so fast that I was not able to feel my body anymore which enabled me to do things which were against myself and other peoples bodies. Later on I truly was horse riding but I realized more and more that the horse has a total different body movement than I have and that those movements do not match. That’s why I got backpain riding a horse. Riding on a horse I always felt superior to others and I always had the feeling everybody had to watch me and pay attention .

What an amazing story Val, and so vivid. What struck me was that the girl you mentioned would have done something equally as cruel in a past life also, and so the cycle continues until we take responsibility for ourselves, and these things we do are accounted for and addressed.

  • Reply Rowena Stewart April 20, 2017 at 2:06 pm

The science of Reincarnation broadens our understanding of the nature of our current lives and often we are re-presented with ancient past choices that have set up life times of repeat patterns until the day we finally realise the true consequence of just one action. Your experience shows us that we can never get away with anything, acts that we commit on others we also have to physically endure ourselves in future life times. It is certainly a very sobering law, but when taken seriously actually brings us immense joy, as we learn to appreciate the negative experiences in our lives are simply the negative aspects of our karma correcting themselves.

  • Reply Vicky Cooke April 9, 2017 at 4:45 pm

Val, I may have said this previously but I am going to say it again. This is pure gold. The humbleness and absolute sincerity, knowing and clarity in which you share this with everyone is incredibly healing and very touching. Yes reincarnation and karma is definitely one to ponder and also definitely one not to be brushed aside stating ‘it must be karma!’. No we must learn from our past, and the past, as only then can we truly evolve to be all that we are. From what you have shared it just goes to show how everything is a ripple effect, and this is only from one incident? What if we had many incidents like these after all through the eons (and even today) there have been many bloody wars. Also it made my wonder about the young women, if in another life that she was pregnant how was it for her, did she have any underlying fears that anything would happen because of something she experienced in another life?

  • Reply Stephen Gammack April 2, 2017 at 5:08 am

What I got reading this Val was a deep sense of our purpose on planet earth, you describing the Saracens warrior and the heartless cruelty brought an understanding that even those of us living gentle lives today have probably been caught up in cruelty on both sides of the coin in previous incarnations. And so today it is our responsibility to remove cruelty from our lives by living the example of gentle, tender deeply caring and compassionate beings. If we don’t then the alternative is to leave ourselves in a merry go round or cruelty, as you say it all catches up with us, everything must energetically return, so what is it we create to have come back to us?

    • Reply Alexis Stewart February 9, 2019 at 1:54 pm

We have to walk back the way we came and so the way that we walked away from God and what we did on the way has a direct bearing on what we’re going to experience on our way back to Him. It’s not like snakes and ladders where you can land on a ladder and get to skip a couple of rows of steps. We’ve got to put our feet in our own outgoing footprints.

With some clients it is unmistakable to see and feel that there is more to the surgery than the simple mechanics of aesthetic, incision, operation and sewing back up. There is a mass of energy in the whole process and sometimes it feels quite intense and overwhelming, sometimes it feels warm, lovely and like heaven is operating with us.

I find people sharing about their experiences relating to reincarnation is a bit like when people share about their dreams. At such times if I suspend my mind’s obsessions with lining everything in a neat little row, I start to get a sense of something huge, a space that expands way beyond the limited frame I hold as my reality. Moments like this confirm beyond words that we belong to a whole far bigger far grander and far more exquisite than what we see here and now. Thank you Val.

I agree Golnaz, we have reduced our current version of Life to such an extent that it bears little resemblance to the stupendous reality that Life really is.

I have had in my life similar switches in consciousness that you’ve described and it makes me wonder how common this really is? Because that is something that Serge Benhayon has done throughout the years I’ve known him – talking about everyday occurrences, in an everyday, normal way that we simply don’t talk about or make into big events such as being visited by entities at night. How many people experience that switch you’ve described but simply dismiss it because it’s not ‘normal’ to talk about such.

I had to return for another read of this eye opening account.
The question I am left with this time is are we asking the resentful, bitter “Why me?” in avoidance of truth…
or are we asking the open-to self honesty and deeper understanding “Why me?” which brings us back to truth and opens the door for learning, re-balance, healing and true evolution which is constantly being offered?

Thank you Val for your willingness to go there and share with utter truthfulness what you found for the benefit of us all.

It is a true inspiration Valerie, that you should so many years later receive a real explanation of why you suffered so much having your children, in particular having to suffer the agonies of the stapled together scar. I have always had a connection with karma, but it has been the Universal Medicine teachings that have brought a great depth of understanding and appreciation to this precise science. I now live in the full knowing that all my suffering arises from my lack of lovingly choices, which are simply being re-lived in order to remind me of what not to choose next time! The more we make our lives about honesty, truth, love and wisdom in everyway, the greater the opportunity to not only establish a cycle of gracious karma, but to clear the cruelty we imposed on others in the past.

Finding the ‘real deal’ (Serge Benhayon) later in life is a testament of your willingness to learn and grow Valerie. A reminder that when we met the truth head on there is no going back. Inspiring read for all!

What a great gift knowing KARMA as a universal law. There is no hiding but the choice to live the truest way and trusting that whatever we need to deal with will be a future imprint for our new incarnations.

Such an important bed time story for all of us to hear and be reminded of, I say. “Why me?” can be asked in two ways, as a belief of being a victim which is detrimental to our evolution, and the other, as a question for responsibility and healing. Brilliant sharing Valerie, one that will stay with me forever, thank you!

Well said Doug, I agree – we are here to learn to return back to the love that we are. Things do not just simply happen to us as we are led to believe. Without understanding karma and reincarnation a lot of things that happen simply do not make sense and then lead us to blame outside factors rather than taking responsibility for the way we have been living.

  • Reply James Nicholson December 31, 2016 at 3:43 am

Indeed Val, ‘Nobody gets away with anything’. I have always used the notion of oh a little bit of that won’t hurt, or that does not matter – but it does. It really only been in the past month that I have started to see and understand what consequences really are – I have always been able to get away with things but now am learning how harming that has actually been as I have never had to face the consequences of my actions before. So I can no longer say I can get away with that any more as I know if I do something that does not feel true or loving to me I know at some point down the line it will come back for me to re-balance – so not a form of punishment rather one of love.

  • Reply Vicky Cooke December 24, 2016 at 5:39 am

I believe your story Val and it opens up so much more than what we normally consider being “real”. Imagine so much we are affected by what we have done in past lives, and it being with us this life. Imagine having this in our awareness, how much more we would understand about life and what is happening and why it is happening. We would have an understanding that could help us through situations and we could also have an understanding of how to move forward. Again thank you so much for sharing all of this, invaluable.

  • Reply Stephen Gammack December 21, 2016 at 3:01 pm

I love how this all ties up, and how we have occurrences in our lives we think are unexplained or fate or luck or chance, but in fact are never this but all part of a karmic outplay that we have sown long ago. The beauty of the law of cause and effect. To have such a vivid recollection is such a gift and one that I really appreciate you have shared here.

What a great read Val. I have often wondered why some people end up in the situations they do and others do not, but the more I am learning to recognise the cycles in my own life it makes sense that everything comes around again to be healed, and that there are no random acts.

Wow, what a great read. Reading this really brings it home that we actually never get away with anything and that our ill deeds will in fact have to be repaid at some point.

  • Reply adam warburton December 10, 2016 at 7:36 am

Incredible to read. The only word of caution I would add is that past life memories are not always so vivid, and if we attached to such things, as with many spiritual new age circles, we can be “fed” images of past lives that are equally not true. Thus today, where we have thousands of people who claim to have been Cleopatra in a past life. To truly understand one’s past lives, if one is open to such things, one only really has to look at their current life, and it is likely that all the momentums you currently experience, are patterns you have lived for many, many lives, and thus why they often feel so familiar and ingrained. We get caught in the argument about nature versus nurture, not considering that perhaps there is a third explanation for why two children growing up in exactly the same household with the same environmental influences and same genetic make up can end up being so different – that of past lives.

The other comment I would make with regards to understanding karma with respect to reincarnation, is that it is not a punishment handed out by a judgemental God, but rather a simple case of energetic momentum. And with all things, as physics has taught us, life is constantly trying to balance itself out. Push back the water, and there will be an equal and opposite force to bring it flooding back to equilibrium. Karma plays out in the exact same manner, seeking to harmonise that which has become imbalanced. And so, when you share as you did that there were physical outplays as a result of a past life misdemeanour, it is this understanding we need to glean from such a sharing rather than seeing it as punishment.

    • Reply Jo Elmer January 31, 2017 at 3:51 am

Very important side note Adam; most of us do not have vivid past life memories and some have ideas fed to them. It is so clear to me there is no punishment in natures way of re-balancing and that as Val says ‘we don’t not get away with anything’ because we are a part of everything. As if we live in one great body, it is about cause and effect so it is all about accountability.

I have many clear ‘feelings’ of what past lives have been like for me which lends to my understanding of what I hold in this one and why some things feel so old and engrained.

  • Reply Elizabeth Dolan December 4, 2016 at 3:25 am

Just as our childhood experiences/hurts remain with us as we grow up, so too does our past life experiences remain with us until such a time as we deal with them. In that way past lives are just our current life. The problem is that we tend to glamorous past lives and want to be someone famous etc. But if we just look at our current life, what works and what causes us problems then we can easily read what we have experienced in other times and what is there to be healed.

  • Reply Andrew Mooney December 1, 2016 at 5:33 pm

An extraordinary story… or is it? Could it be that this universal law of cause and effect is playing out all the time every day in all the incidents and occurrences that happen to us? It certainly puts a different perspective for me on anything that happens to me that I don’t like. Rather than seeing it as unfair or that I am a victim to it, it just may well be an opportunity to redress or re-imprint something I have done before. It makes complete sense to me that in a universe that is full of energy, if we create any kind of disturbance, then the ripples of this will eventually find their way back to us and that we are ultimately responsible for restoring balance and order in the universe if we have disturbed this order.

How can anyone doubt re-incarnation when they hear a story like yours Valerie? It certainly cuts through people’s tendency to be a victim to their circumstances and asks us to be responsible for everything that happens to us. Thank you so much for sharing this.

  • Reply Rebecca November 29, 2016 at 5:02 am

I have not had such a vivid flashback you could call it, to a former life – for me it is simply impossible to look around at the earth and the universe, all in the constant cycle of life, death and rebirth and believe we are somehow exempt. Many wish to believe that those who do bad will have it come back to them and visa versa with those who do good – but it has to be visible in one lifetime. What if sometimes, the consequences of our actions do not come back around for us to feel and learn from until another life, perhaps several more down the line? Then, we see it as unexplainable luck, good or bad – as a coincidence and sometimes ‘why me?’. Even if reincarnation cannot be considered, the possibility that when things happen to us they are not simply the twisting of fate, but are there as lessons for us to grow and move on from.

  • Reply Sandra Schneider November 27, 2016 at 5:48 pm

The laws of karma and reincarnation are very much avoided in the ‘modern’ world – but why? Here we see such a super practice result of how it could be to embrace the facts of these laws: taking responsibility so life and its challenges begins to make sense.

  • Reply Eduardo Feldman November 25, 2016 at 3:52 pm

An extraordinary realisation indeed. It is interesting that although we may not like to be caught up by our own actions in past lives (particularly of the kind shared here), I can also see the beauty of the mechanism at play and the extent to which it works in our favour to even out imprints in the body that cannot support the journey that will eventually lead to leaving this plane of life for good. The horrors we have done have to remain here. We cannot carry them as imprints with us.

Val, I love the realness with which you write and how you lay it out without apology, or any expectations – we are presented with the story and allowed to feel our own way with it. I’ve always known on some level that reincarnation is true but I’ve never really delved into it much and it was only when I came across Universal Medicine that I truly looked into what reincarnation meant in a real practical way in my life. Then some time later, I was in a heated conversation with a family member where they were asking me to not do something that would disturb other family members and I could feel I had to refuse, and while doing this I had an almost out of body experience where I suddenly had this sense, no pictures that this person and I had previously had a conversation in another time and place and I had been the one trying to persuade them not to do something that would impact the group, and my feeling and shock in this moment now was this is what it feels like the other way around, and to feel the others fury and know it was not just from this life. It confirmed for me the realness of reincarnation and as you say Val everything comes back, so I demanded another be a certain way back then to protect the group and now they were demanding the same of me. It was quite a profound experience and it allowed me to give the other grace to find their own way now and confirmed for me that we know so much more than often acknowledge, and that everything balances – I can feel the enormous love we are held in that allows those corrections and offers us a learning of where we’ve been and how we can come back to the love we are.

What a huge realisation Valarie. It is no wonder we don’t want to believe in reincarnation as the truth can be confronting. I love how you have shown us that our past can be faced with love and understanding so that the energetic imprints can be cleared and healed.

  • Reply Jo Elmer November 17, 2016 at 2:14 am

    So beautiful Val.
In your story I feel how Karma simply brings whatever is needed for us to come back to compassion and love for each other when we have, for whatever reason abandoned ourselves and lost track of Love, opening us to swallowing and taking on beliefs and ideals that, when we are in our essence we know are not true and could never go along with.

This very clear description of how Karma works confirms the fact that being in a victim mindset would make it impossible to learn what we need to learn in order to move on. In other words, when I indulge in seeing myself as a victim instead of understanding that accountability is at play I do not learn and so the same, usually painful, kind of situation will need to repeat and repeat until I open up to a bigger way to see.

The Magic of the way life works is woven into every word and transports me into the wonder of what is available to us – life is a choice, filled with choices in which we create (or co-create) what is to come.

What you have shared clearly shows that life is simple, we make choices and the level of responsibility we take in those choices brings the life we live. It makes sense. Universal Law unfolding in our life every day every lifetime.

‘The Ancient Wisdom Teachings explain that REINCARNATION is to give us the opportunity of redress by way of evolution to return to our own Loving Soul Essence.’ – Thank you Valerie. The sharing of this blog and my understanding of the Ancient Wisdom Teachings has brought true purpose to my livingness and presence on the earth at this time. I humbly share my deep appreciation of Serge Benhayon and honouring of the truth of the Ancient Wisdom Teachings he has brought through.

‘What is worth pondering, as we make decisions about how we live out this incarnation is to contemplate …WHY ME?’ This speaks of the energetic responsibility and the energetic integrity for every thought, word, action and the way we hold ourselves everyday. I am in the process of surrendering to what is. Most of my life I have been so caught up in how I thought things should be, I was not aware of what was going on around me, especially what the universe was communicating to me. I was enthralled by the communication that goes on in nature, but did not relate that to me. 15 years ago I was so exhausted I could barely walk up stairs, it took me awhile to read this message, that the way I was living was not working. Gradually with support from Simple-Living Global and Universal Medicine I began to understand that life is constantly communicating to me, I just need to be open to it, (surrender).
In the moments when I do surrender, my body relaxes and tears flow. I do not have to do anything, just surrender to all the support that is all around me.

Now I have never been to a psychic, nor a tarot card reader, nor any sort of re-birth or “talk to the other side” nonsense. I am in fact quite dogmatic about the ridiculousness of such forays. What Serge Benhayon offers in the realm of reincarnation, however, is a revelation on life that defies being classified as spiritual new age, and instead gives meaning to life, to our choices, to our experiences and to our responsibility. Like the wisdom of the ages he is single handedly offering us all a new way of understanding who we are and why we are here.

  • Reply Andrew Mooney November 12, 2016 at 4:39 pm

What a powerful piece you have written here Val and I could really feel the truth in your story about your past life memory – the way you describe it is so vivid. So often in life we like to play the victim card and blame the world for bad things that happen to us in this lifetime but bringing this understanding that everything has a karmic outplay, puts a whole different perspective on it. For everything that happens to us is based on our own choices that have gone before in this life and many previous lives, and we are experiencing the harmony or disharmony we have caused coming back to us.

The fact that we all contribute to the pool of energy we all have to live in and that if we create a disharmony in this energy it comes back to us, for us to change, makes complete sense to me.

    • Reply Golnaz Shariatzadeh December 4, 2017 at 7:26 am

It is truly amazing that if we lose our way and create a disharmony it comes back to us, giving us the opportunity to re-align to our truth once again. Reincarnation and karma have been misrepresented when they are seen as a form of punishment. The cycles which we live in are the most loving gifts ever, supporting us in our evolution and returning to embrace and live our divinity once again.

  • Reply Leigh Matson November 11, 2016 at 6:20 pm

With such an understanding it feels like you have come to accept what has happened rather than asking ‘why me?’ As a victim. That victimhood and sympathy goes out the window when we consider that our life and the lives or others are a result of our and their choices. This feels far more empowering than to believe events just happen or are random, luck, fate etc. Often as well I have noticed that the ‘why me?’ Question is not often considered towards the good or loving events. I feel there has been an attachment to only acknowledging when I stuff up or get something ‘wrong’ in a frantic attempt to stay good…

To the point that when you were talking about the birth of your babies my tummy felt very fragile and I felt a bit queasy! It also made me realise just how far medicine had come ‘A dry dressing on top was held in place by cello tape.’ and how many people doctors and nurses have helped. This is great that you have shared this as it definitely helps us to have a truer sense of ‘why me?’. Thank you. When is your next blog?

Thank you Valerie. What I love about your sharing is the amount of detail and how you could feel that you were actually in the body of the warrior and the correlation with his actions and the nature of your scars as confirmation of the fact that things do not happen randomly to us and if we are open to it we can read what is there for us to learn, heal and evolve from.

Yes Val’s story so clearly reflects that “things do not happen randomly to us and if we are open to it we can read what is there for us to learn, heal and evolve from.” It makes me wonder how much of our daily lives is exactly the same.

Val, I read your article and was deeply touched by your honesty and directness. I feel such a blessing that you have chosen to see the truth and through your questioning and openness got to experience again an episode of your past life, which gave you deep understanding for your experiences in this life.

Your contribution is so precious to me, because even if I know about past lives and also felt some in my body, you had a real experience of it to understand the situations you went through. What a great blessing is this, to get shown the truth and from there to be able to learn of this and deepen ones understanding and love. It is certainly a blessing to understand the karmic circle we are in and your story, Val, gives proof to it.

This is truly and extraordinary realisation which showed you in a loving way what happened in your past lives and how deep the healing went in your life now. This is a learning of cause and effect and that there is one life. It is so much resonating in my body and supports me to see the bigger picture in order to take a step further in responsibility.

An amazing sharing Val, bringing such an understanding and responsibility to our lives. The realisation and acceptance of reincarnation makes so much sense and allows the truth of what is really going on and why we are here. Your amazing wisdom through all you have been through and understanding of karma is a very honest sharing and allows us to be more open, accepting and real and brings the truth to humanity.

Thank you for sharing your experience and revelation on incarnation. When we feel something is connected to an earlier occurrence we know that it can be relevant to a previous life. The cause and effect of all our choices.

Val, thank you for sharing your wisdom and experiences for us all to feel the truth of Universal Law and whether we are aware of them or not, they are playing out in our lives.

This is incredible- a real story from a real person sharing how exactly both karma and reincarnation work. None of us would like to believe that we have done something harming to another, but very often the only way that we learn is when we experience firsthand what harms us and from there we very often make a clear choice not to do that to anyone. My sense is that Val having gone through the difficulties with her pregnancies was so that she could feel and relate to what the pregnant women on the side of the road would have experienced, Val you have so much wisdom and openness to the deeper meaning of life, which is great for all of us as we get a wake-up call and a reminder that nothing happens by accident.

We have mostly made the fact of reincarnation and karma into either make-believe or some form of a punishment. Yet when such accounts as Val’s are shared and reflected on, I see a very definite flow and order which actually offers a deeper awareness and connection to the time-less multi-dimensionality which we are all part of.

I was transfixed by reading your wisdom on Karma, and on your experience of seeing a past life so clearly and the connection to your current one. We certainly don’t get away with anything and I could feel the absolute love the Universal Laws hold us in – by holding us accountable for our actions and for giving us reincarnation to re-address some of the actions and to return to the love that we are.

I love your writing Val. I was transfixed by this piece – an incredible story with a universal message for us all.

What a great story Val, showing there is much more to life than we acknowledge – it is multidimensional. I always find it hugely irresponsible and disempowering when I read stories in the newspaper that make out that things just happen to people as if it is some sort of random act that is not related to our choices – whether this life or past. There is always a learning and truth behind every event, illness, disease and equally behind every good act. For Karma works both ways, although what we often call success is anything but.

The more I open up to honestly reflect on life and instead dismissal the more I pay attention to the deep awareness within me, the greater I understand that random is a made up concept. There is a precise and definite order to every aspect of life and the Universe. We simply can not join the dots together at times because of our limited view.

Your blog was very interesting to read, one that I could feel the power and truth in your words about reincarnation and I thoroughly enjoyed your expression. I too have had my fair share in understanding this ubiquitous science. How amazing is it that you had the awareness to feel the image of your past life that gave you the insight into understanding that reincarnation helped you to rebalance the disharmony and abuse caused towards another, which is what caught up with you in this life.
It certainly shows that we have an opportunity to heal our past and live free of the karmic cycle by living more lovingly now and onwards. And how blessed are we to have these opportunities each life time to learn and heal from our mistakes.
Thank you for sharing your gorgeous blogs, humanity sure needs to read this site!

If we were to allow ourselves to remember the fact that reincarnation is an inbuilt part of our lives then it would take away all of our pretence about not knowing why life deals us the hand that it does. It would also go a long way at eradicating blame.

Wow, Valerie, this is a very honest reflection on reincarnation, which really calls us all into responsibility. I had similar experiences of flashbacks into the past, remembering quite vividly scenes from past lives and they were certainly not happening for my entertainment but to make me aware of why I am here and what my purpose is. When we open up to the possibility of reincarnation our perception shifts and we have access to so much more that we are and can re-activate within us.

Such a beautiful recount and realisation, Val. Having also experienced similar switches in consciousness, your story rings absolutely true. For me, Karma is the ultimate in Love, knowing that whatever I do, say, think or feel has a consequence; there is cause and effect in everything. It’s also the ultimate in freedom and responsibility and surrendering to this Universal law makes life make sense. It’s the ripple effect lived! I love the question you’ve left the reader with too, as it leads us deeply pondering the circumstances we presently find ourselves in…..Why me?

  • Reply Suzanne Anderssen November 10, 2016 at 9:30 pm

I can’t not share this piece Val, everybody deserves to and should read your words. The age old question – why me? – need never be uttered again with the understanding of reincarnation, I love love how you state so plainly how it works.

    • Reply Vicky Cooke August 13, 2017 at 3:35 am

Yes I agree Suzanne what Val has shared here is absolute gold and very real making reincarnation so much more tangible and something which I am sure many people could relate to or have a quite moment to be with once reading this. I love love how Val writes, expresses and shares.
